MORE HARDWARE FOR CANADA

Canada picked up two more medals to close out the short track speed skating competition.

Canada's men won silver in the 5000-meter relay, while the women picked up a bronze in the 3000-meter relay event.

The Canadian men's side of Montreal's Guillaume Bastille and Alexander Boisvert-Lacroix, Calgary's Richard Shoebridge and Winnipeg's Tyler Darraugh skated the course in a time of 7:07.929 - a second and a half faster than the Koreans, and nearly three and a half seconds back of the Chinsese crew for gold.  For Bastille, it was his second medal of the day, having won silver in the mens's individual 1000-meter event earlier in the afternoon.

For the women, the team of Annik Plamondon (Longueil, QC) and Montreal skaters Nita Avrith, Marie-Andree Mendes-Campeau and Valerie Lambert skated the 3000-meter final in a time of 4:43.728 - well back of the Koreans for silver, and an additoinal six seconds behind the Chinese, who swept the relay golds.

The two medals bring Canada's medal count to three - two silvers, and one bronze.
